The Uncanny Valley
The Uncanny Valley-–The more the appearance and the motion of a robot is similar to human, the more we tend to have positive and empathetic feelings toward it. However, at a certain point, such feelings drops to the point of strong emotional rejection. If the similarity to human improves to the level of undistinguishable from a human being, the feelings jumps back to positive at maximum. This area of repulsive response aroused by a robot with appearance and motion between a "barely-human" and "fully human" entity is called the Uncanny Valley. When a robot moves, people cheer saying, “Oh, it moves!” because people see it as a robot. However, if a robot is so similar to human that people see it as a person, then the differences between the robot and real human become conspicuous and create strong repulsive feelings.
There are two ways to avoid this uncanny valley; one is to avoid human form and make it look like a cute “character”, such as cartoon character, and the other is to overcome the differences that creates creepiness. A Japanese company KOKORO LTD. is trying the latter. Here is the latest movie of their "ACTROID".

La sinistra attualmente si trova al governo e gia pensa a come riproporsi agli elettori.
