KDDI, Sony Ericsson to market ‘Walkman’ cell phone
Telecommunications giant KDDI and Sony Ericsson will jointly market a mobile phone that can play 500 songs under the famous "Walkman" brand name, officials said on Monday. The new "Walkman" cell phone will use Japan’s popular "Chaku Uta Full" song service(A service with which you can download songs to your mobile phone). It will also be capable of playing music for some 30 hours before its battery needs recharging.
Softbank Corp. and Apple Computer Inc. are discussing the development of mobile phones with built-in iPod music players for the Japanese cell phone market.
KDDI reportedly hopes that by using the famous "Walkman" brand name, the new mobile phone will become popular.Sony Ericsson aims to boost its market share by joining hands with KDDI, which markets "au" cell phones. (Mainichi)
It’s something amazing technology can do. Although you cannot use all these functions with one cell phone still, so you have to choose which function will serve you more, the future is almost there.
